AI is Salvation vs Machines!

Two powerful beliefs will determine the outcome of Earth’s survival – AI vs Machines. The Nova Alliance charged with restoring the earth’s plants and other natural resources is nearly destroyed in an attack on their restoration sites. Humanity is spiraling at break-neck speed toward extinction unless Captain Hayashi and hybrid human-AI Apeiron can outwit and defeat the Coalition.

Nicholas Sansbury Smith, the author, is a masterful storyteller who weaves a terrifying story that not only plays on his listener's fears but could be far closer to the truth than not! Smith has carefully and deliberately created characters that his listeners love and others they love to hate. My favorite character is Ghost or Rossie – I love his singing! E-Day is a futuristic tale of what humanity can and very well may do to themselves and Earth if left unchecked. This is a cautionary tale but one that will leave the listener on the edge of their chair and unable to pause the book.

R.C. Bray, the narrator, gives a commanding and powerful performance. He slips into each character effortlessly. A unique voice is given to each character which helps keep the individual characters distinguishable. His energy and passion are evident, Smith and Bray make an excellent team and it is evident once again in this performance.

This is a dark book – death, destruction, war, fear, and the unknown but as with all Smith’s books, it is Hope that shines through – the hope of a better life, the hope of a better world, the hope of survival, etc. In this book, Smith drives home the belief that “hope” is not only necessary but will prevail through persistence.

This book comes highly recommended.
